Abstract
In Korean population, ABO-incompatible matings constitute 44.15 percentage of all matings.
Comparing to ABO-incompatible mating rate of American population, it is 10 percentage higher than the United States. for B group in Korea is 16 percentage higher than in American population.
Calculating these by geriotypic mating form, it is about 44% (43.998015%),
which includes genotypic compatible mating groups except mating group AB (8) X 0 (_?) (I n H B X (¡Æ 1¢¥). The total percentage of these genotypic compatible matings in phenotypic incompatible mating groups is about 16 percentage. If we reduce these percentage from phenotypic incompatible mating rate 44%, the actual. genotypic mating rate will be estimated as 27.5% in Korean population.
Mean number of children from ABO-incompatible mating groups shows 4.8 (person), while that of children from ABO-compatible mating groups indicates 5.43 (person). The deviation between two means is 0.63(person). By t-test, t=2,470, and P<0.05, so the difference between two means is significant.
Evidence from the investigations of two thousands cards by random sampling method through Korea indicates that such incompatibility contributes to early period was 13.3 days. Duration from onset to hospitalization was 7.1 8. Most of all patients (64-65¢¥10 were isolated in the Kim-Chun Provincial.vspontaneous abortion and miscarriage but by no means the only cause.
Embryonic and early fetal death occur in compatible matings, also and conversely, they occur in only a small minority of pregnancies in incompatible matings. Percentage of Rh-incompatible matings is 0.5%. This small percentage is only because of a very few people in Korean population. Mean number of children from these matings is 1 (person), while the mean number of children from Rhcompatible matings (99. 5%) shows 5. 11 (person). Difference between these two means is highly significant. The cases of Rh-incompatibility and ABO-incompatibility combined are found 0. 1 percentage of all matings, and percentage of these matings from heterozygote is only 0. 05%. ABO-incompatibility lies in the interesting relationship between ABO-incompatibility and Rh-incompatibility. Statistical evidence indicates that ABO-incompatibility may prevent the development of all harmful effects of Rh-incompatibility.
In Korean population, the percentage of Blood Group is; group A; 33%, group B; 26%, group 0; 32%, and group AB; 9%. Gene frequencies of this population P;. 24, q; .19, and r; .57. The percentage of Rh+ people is 99.6% and that of Rh- people is 0.4%. These data are obtained from investigation of 4,000 people by random sampling method.
